Black Booth - a documentary film
Black Booth is a documentary film that explores the craft and the stories of film projectionists. With the transition from analog to digital projection, film handling is becoming more and more restricted. But this beautiful craft and the stories from the people who have been handling reels of celluloid for decades are worthy of being remembered.
The film, currently in production, is being supported by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Film Forum, Museum of the Moving Image, among other institutions.
*Winner of the Abelcine Documentary Grant 2013, New York.
